Ranvir Shorey: Would be challenging to keep my TEMPER in Check
Ranvir Shorey spoke to IndiaToday.in about why he decided to participate in 'Bigg Boss OTT 3'. The actor called himself 'uncool' and expressed concerns about keeping his temper in check.
Ranvir, before entering ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, spoke about why he is participating in the show. “I did have my reservations about the show. Honestly, I get a call every year, but I haven't been in that frame of mind. This year, my son was going to the USA for a month with his mother and I also did not have any project commitment. Also, I really needed a detox from the screens as I was tired of death-scrolling on social media," he shared.
Ranvir, on ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, also spoke about how he doesn't have much work, which led him to be on the show.
When asked if it was a low phase in his career that pushed him to be on ‘BB OTT 3’, Ranvir replied, "Even if it has, what's wrong with that? I have been in this industry for 25 years and have seen many ups and downs. I don't think there's anything wrong in doing a show that could [revive your career]. If it helps your career, then it's all for the good. I am grateful for this opportunity."
Having worked with Salman Khan in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, the actor joked that he missed on the opportunity of some slack being cut by the previous host: “It could have worked in my favour. But Anil sir also has great energy and an amazing youthfulness. I am looking forward to interacting with him and hope he's easy with me too."
Ranvir Shorey said he hasn't followed the show and just skimmed through the episodes after signing up. Known to be quite curt in his real life, we asked him how he would keep his calm with strangers inside the house. Calling himself an impatient person, he said, "I am an uncool person and it would be challenging for me to keep my temper in check. The good thing is that I have no pressure or responsibility outside, so I can be calm. However, I intend to be who I am and react to people as they behave with me. If they cross the line, you cannot expect me to show decency."
‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ is currently streaming on JioCinema.
