Pink Gin Martini!
If you want a martini recipe that stays close to the original but with a slight change, opt for this one with pink gin. Paired with a slice of grapefruit rind, this marvelous cocktail is just right for a special occasion or celebration.
There's more than one way to make a pink gin martini. Some recipes veer into Cosmo territory, using cranberry juice and triple sec, others begin with store-bought pink gin. Our recipe starts with gin and Angostura bitters, which give the drink its lovely blush hue. A splash of vermouth takes it into martini territory, and the addition of kirsch, a clear brandy distilled from cherries and their pits, delivers an unexpected and delicious twist. Serve this beauty straight up in coupe glasses and definitely do a cheers.
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, combine the ice, gin and vermouth. Shake until chilled, then strain into 2 chilled martini glasses. Squeeze the oils out of each grapefruit rind into the martinis and garnish each glass with a rind. Serve immediately.
